Networking

September 27, 2012

Each node’s size is now proportional to the number of mutual friends we have. The big green cluster in the centre roughly corresponds to EUHWC, with the older members up at the top. Off to the right is Orienteers – EUOC linked to EUHWC through the Edinburgh connection, with JOK a little further out (but still, lots of links to Edinburgh there). Linking those two clusters is a looser network of colleagues, but you can probably identify the one colleague who’s also a hillwalker and the one who’s also an orienteer by the relative size of their nodes. Moving down and to the left, there are more people I know through the Uni, but in science communication/Bright Club context, with Edinburgh Skeptics as the dark orange spur out on the right. The separate networks are mostly non-Edinburgh folks, with Bronzers in the green cluster bottom left, with family and friends from home in the middle, with sundry other folks in little clusters here and there.
